philosophy intertwined in “Delirium”

does anyone remember my recent post about Schopenhauer and his view on suicides? his opinion on them - the “I’d rather die than live this way” mentality - seemed judgmental to me last week. now, though, my opinion has changed.

Lena thought the exact same way. “I’d rather die my way than live yours,” she thought when the regulators were chasing her and Alex. the mentality doesn’t seem a weak one’s anymore, for some reason. i think i took it as a depressed person’s belief, before, and am only now starting to understand it may just be the mindset of a person who believes in themselves and their own beliefs, a person who is not going to back down just because someone tells them to. but maybe i love the characters a bit too much and am biased? i was very much biased about suicide last week, as well, though, which is why i’m surprised my opinion has changed so much. nevertheless, whatever it is, the mindset seems so much more understandable to me now. perhaps i just needed a specific example.

i want to try the dice thing. 

i’ve always wanted to try the dice thing but for some reason, i’ve never gotten around to actually doing it. however, right now is late and i should be sleeping, besides i cannot think of any good decisions to roll for. there’s so many, in reality, i just can’t think of them right now… ugh.

the third episode was so… odd. i liked his dice game, i’ve heard about it before and have wanted to read “Dice man” for ages now (i always see it in the bookshop but never buy it for some reason! i know i should! areghkhsdgiuh), but… i don’t know. he’s odd. and i expected more of an episode where they concentrated on Grace. maybe that’s still to come, when Rich gets back?

the next episode sure looks like an intense one, though…
